The Australian Labradoodle History
Before applying for your ALD, it's important to know the history of these beautiful dogs and why they are special.

History
Australian Labradoodles are a mix of Poodle and Labrador Retriever, originally bred by Wally Conron. Then in the late 1980s, Tegan Park and Rutland Manor, the two founders of Australian Labradoodles as we know it today, began carefully infusing several other breeds into early generations of their Lab/Poodle crosses, to improve temperament, coat, conformation, and size. The infused breeds include American and English Cocker Spaniel, and the Water Spaniel. The Labradoodles from this mix have been bred to each other, continuing the multi-generational tradition. The results of the Australian Labradoodles are wonderful, intelligent dogs with beautiful fleece coats that are more reliably low to non-shedding and allergy-friendly than other types of Labradoodles such as first-generation Lab/Poodle crosses, or first-generation crosses bred back to Poodles.
